6. IT ARCHITECTURE MANAGEMENT
IT as a business supporting service faces different tasks every day. The solution/service of these problems has an impact on the IT architecture and on its management as well:
· Direct and indirect impacts of organizational/structural reorganizations
o Eg desing of a new organizational unit in the IT architecture, server, PC, license management
· Impacts of business changes
o Eg. support of new business process or service of changes concerning IT architecture because of changes in existing business processes
· Support and execution of technical developments
· Impacts of external or internal regulations
o Eg. risk management or compliance to license management and responsibilities
This direct or indirect impacts have an important influence on IT assets management (hardware, network, software, IT ressources etc.), on the hole IT architecture management and thus on the IT service development.
The IT architecture management system as an overall system means the management of the tehcnological architecture (assets), systems and data, processes and organization, as well as risks and management for all the levels above.
